NEO Program Expansion

Yesterday, Fresno County leaders, employers, and community partners gathered at Pleasant Mattress to announce an expanded workforce initiative connecting public assistance recipients to job training and full-time employment. The announcement included Supervisors Luis Chavez (District 3), Buddy Mendes (District 4), Brian Pacheco (District 1), and Nathan Magsig (District 5), along with Department of Social Services Director Sanja Bugay, highlighting the New Employment Opportunities (NEO) program a partnership with Fresno County, the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) that has already helped place more than 2,700 Fresno County residents into jobs.
